Taste of Texas Dinner at 9e Ranch

May 11 @ 5:00 pm 8:00 pm

Savor the Spirit of Texas: A Culinary Journey at 9e Ranch!

Get ready for an unforgettable evening celebrating the essence of Texas cuisine against the stunning backdrop of a multi-generational ranch in Bastrop County. Our menu is a tribute to Texas’ rich heritage, featuring dishes inspired by its wildlife and prepared using sustainable hunting practices. Join us as we showcase the flavors and techniques that define the heart and soul of Texas cuisine.

THE MENU:

Chef Holly Hearn will delve into the history of hunting in Texas and its impact on the state’s landscapes. Guests will explore the origins of certain animals that have become synonymous with Texas culture, such as Axis deer and nilgai, and the conservation efforts that have helped ensure many species are safe from extinction in their native lands.

THE VENUE – 9E RANCH:

Owned and operated by Kent and Joan Bohls, the 9e Ranch holds a rich history close to their hearts. Passed down through Joan’s family, the ranch has been a cherished retreat since her childhood days. A testament to Texas’ rich heritage, the 9e is a working cattle ranch located in the Lost Pine Forest between Bastrop and Smithville

Not only does the 9e Ranch offer an enchanting escape for guests and visitors to their rustic cabins, but it also proudly stands as a beacon of conservation, permanently protected by Colorado River Land Trust.

Join us as we celebrate the spirit of Texas and the bounty of the land at this exclusive event. Come for the dinner, stay for the memories, and experience the magic of 9e Ranch firsthand.

ENTERTAINMENT:

Enjoy the sultry, bluesy voice of Jacob Alan Jaeger as he serenades us through the evening.
